1967 in Bangladesh.
Present Position
He is an Associate Professor in Drawing and Painting Department, Faculty of Fine Art, University of Dhaka and involved in curatorial activities as well.
Education
He holds BFA (1987) and MFA (1989) degree in Drawing and Painting from Faculty of Fine Art, University of Dhaka. He got Japan Govt. Scholarship (1999) in Japan and went there for his MFA (2003) from Aichi University of Education and PhD degree (2010) in Oil Painting from Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of Arts.
Awards
He received 23 Awards, Grants, & Honors from home and abroad such as Atish Diponkor Gold Medal in Fine Arts (2015), Nomura Grand Award, Japan (2010), Aoki Shigeru Grand Prize, Japan (2005), City Mayor Award, Japan (2005), National & young Artists Award, National Art Gallery, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and so on.
Exhibitions
He has exhibited in many International and National group exhibitions, as Asian Art Biennale, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
